The Ronald O. Perelman Center for Business Innovation

Columbia Business School will name the second of its two planned Manhattanville Campus buildings the Ronald O. Perelman Center for Business Innovation in recognition of Mr. Perelman’s pledge of $100 million to support the construction of the School’s new facilities, which are being designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro. Mr. Perelman has been a longtime member of the Columbia Business School community, serving on its Board of Overseers since 1994. An active philanthropist, he believes that powerful results can be achieved when financial resources are leveraged with human resolve.

A Message From Ronald O. Perelman

The business landscape is changing rapidly and dramatically, and, as a result, the principles that define strong business leadership — such as an entrepreneurial mindset and solving complex challenges — are more important now than ever before. It is our responsibility to ensure that we are building a generation of great business leaders who drive success in an ever-changing, competitive global economy, and I believe Columbia Business School has its finger on the pulse of the changing nature of business education. I'm extraordinarily pleased to pledge this gift to help them prepare the next generation of business leaders for 21st-century challenges.

Ronald O. Perelman
Chairman and CEO, MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings Inc.

The Ronald O. Perelman Center for Business Innovation will embody Columbia Business School’s ongoing commitment to pioneering thought leadership, enhancing the depth and breadth of Columbia’s ability to provide its students with the very best in management education. The center’s technologically advanced classrooms and flexible spaces designed to foster collaboration among students, faculty members, alumni, and recruiters will enable the School to excel in moving beyond traditional functional expertise and siloed learning. As a result, the Perelman Center will not only ensure a more integrated curriculum for MBA students — preparing them to be innovative, decisive, successful leaders — but it will also strengthen the greater Columbia Business School network.
