Dr. Dan Skovronsky, a research radiopathologist at a prestigious university, has recently received a job offer to be the vice president of corporate development at Theracor, a new venture with ambitions of growing into a global pharmaceutical company. The university recently licensed a new diagnostic technology that might be useful in identifying Alzheimer's disease to Theracor. But would Theracor's new technology prove successful? In this case, students analyze whether Skovronsky should risk leaving his current position to pursue an unexpected business opportunity.
