In 2008 Brazilian-Belgian beer giant InBev acquired Anheuser-Busch, a move that secured its position as the new “global king of beers.” In 2014, as the global beer market continued to consolidate and traditional markets stagnated, AB-InBev considers strategies for future growth. In this case, students are asked to analyze the company’s past competitive strengths and the new challenges it faces.
