Dan Isenberg is Professor of Management Practice at Babson College where he teaches in executive education programs on entrepreneurship and is responsible for several globalization projects to foster entrepreneurship internationally.
From 2005-2009, Dan served as Senior Lecturer at the Harvard Business School (HBS) where he redesigned and taught the popular course, International Entrepreneurship, and was involved in other activities related to entrepreneurship and globalization. He has published three seminal articles in the Harvard Business Review: “The Global Entrepreneur,” (Dec. 2008), "How Senior Managers Think," (Dec. 1984) and "The Tactics of Strategic Opportunism." (April 1987), and has published dozens of HBS cases on entrepreneurial ventures around the world.
From 1987-2004 Dan was founding CEO of Triangle Technologies, an international business development firm specializing in cross-border transactions in Japan, which concluded over 100 transactions. During that period Dan was also partner in an international VC fund. From 1987-1989 he created a course at the Technion called Technology-Based Entrepreneurship, co-directed the Tefen Entrepreneurs Program established by Stef Wertheimer, and directed the Technion Entrepreneurial Associates established by Professor Ed Roberts from MIT.
From 1981-1987 Dan taught organizational behavior at HBS and conducted research programs in small group behavior, and managerial cognition, and he has over 15 scientific and professional publications.
In 1981 Dan received the Ph.D. degree in Social Psychology from Harvard University. He maintains a home in Boston and in his home town of Woods Hole, Massachusetts, and has 4 grown children. Dan enjoys salsa dancing (New York style), exercise, jazz, cooking, wine, and not-catching-fish; nevertheless, he is most passionate about spending time with his kids, teaching, and being surprised by what entrepreneurs around the world can accomplish.
