In this course, students will explore entrepreneurship from start-up through harvest taking the management perspective. A broad range of topics essential to managing entrepreneurial ventures will be covered, including finding an idea, starting a company, form of a business, raising capital, sales and marketing strategies, attracting competent people, compensation issues, creating a corporate culture and managing growth. In addition, buying a business, selling a business and the family business will be covered.
