This course, which is only offered in the Fall 2011 semester (and not in the Spring 2012), concentrates on the fundamentals associated with Finance, Marketing and Strategies of a Retailing Enterprise through interactive case discussions; lectures and dynamic industry leaders. The class is being slightly altered from the past years to incorporate some of the feedback in the student evaluations.
Unique Aspect of Course: enables students to pursue careers in retailing, Wall Street, financial services. All the leading executive guest speakers are personal friends of Professor Feiner’s. In that regard, all students are encouraged to meet these executives when they come to Columbia to speak and more importantly to continue a dialogue with them afterwards as it relates to their finding jobs or pursuing careers.
