This course will explore an omnibus of core retail topics, practices and disciplines including: industry classifications, channel characterization and management, organizational design, product development, assortment planning, price management and promotional planning and strategy, inventory planning and management, marketing planning and management, sourcing, negotiation, retail systems, fashion selection, store planning and design, visual merchandising, selling strategies and techniques, and retail globalization.
This course intends on becoming an important knowledge base for all students interested in a career in and around the retail industry.
