The Chinese Business Environment is a block week course that aims to give students an overview of topics related to doing business in China.  This unique class will be comprised of eight classroom sessions at Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, taught by their faculty, covering topics such as Globalization, Strategic Innovation, Financial Markets, Strategy, Marketing, and the Comparison between Chinese and Western Modes of Thinking.  The class is open to both MBA and EMBA programs. The course will take place in Beijing from Tuesday, August 27th to Saturday, August 31st and will include an intensive week of mandatory classroom sessions and two company visits. Students will also participate in a case discussion with CKGSB MBA students. Students will be responsible for booking their own international airfare and hotel room at suggested hotels near the CKGSB campus. Students will be responsible for securing a tourist visa for China, however the Chazen Institute will provide documentation and advice for visa processing.  Students will have a deliverable due at the end of the block week period. Attendance and regular participation are a crucial part of the learning experience and as such attendance is mandatory.
