Venture for India Launches in October 2012
Venture for India (VFI), a program in collaboration with Columbia Business School, strives to enhance the Indian entrepreneurial ecosystem by training talented Indian graduates to become enterprise builders and job creators and helping high potential companies grow. We bridge the gap between companies and worthy top graduates. At VFI we feel that enterprising college graduates crave hands-on business experience to learn how to develop a business and create value. While many promising high potential businesses struggle to identify, recruit, and enlist talented students, due to the lack of resources, brand equity and scale to engage in on-campus recruiting.
Short-listing valuable students with high potential, training them, and placing them in the right company, is what we aim to do. The ultimate goal is that a substantial proportion of VFI Fellows will become successful entrepreneurs, preferably rooted in the communities to which they are assigned. VFI's purpose is job generation - our immediate goal is to generate jobs in India by helping companies expand and training a critical mass of our top graduates so that they themselves become business builders and job creators.
