The Lang Center Launches an Entrepreneurs in Residence Program
The Eugene Lang Entrepreneurship Center is pleased to announce the launch of an Entrepreneur in Residence Program (EIR) at Columbia Business School. The program was created to support the growing rate of early-stage ventures and entrepreneurship across the University.
The program will bring together a group of world-class practitioners with varied areas of expertise to campus. The EIRs will provide ad-hoc consulting, coaching and mentoring designed to help Columbia entrepreneurs progress their venture concepts to the next level.
A kick off panel event is scheduled for the evening of October 8th where each EIR will be introduced to the Columbia community.

Professor Clifford Schorer, who has been the business school’s sole Entrepreneur in Residence for nearly twenty years will serve as the Director of the program. “The active participation of each EIR assist in expanding the platform of support provided by those interested in not only starting a business, but in developing the skills and entrepreneurial mindset that will enhance their future success, regardless of the path they choose,” Schorer said.
Over the course of the academic year, EIRs will offer workshops and be available for individual confidential sessions. The program will kick off with an evening panel event on October 8th where each EIR will be introduced to the community.
