Warren Buffett Celebrates Value Investing at Columbia Business School
Warren Buffett, MS ’51, and Bill Gates were the special guests of a rare and exclusive community forum at Columbia Business School on November 12, 2009. More than 700 students from the Business School attended the event, which was filmed for global broadcast by CNBC.
Buffett, who came to Columbia Business School to study value investing under professors Benjamin Graham and David Dodd, discussed his value-investing strategy, saying that it had not changed in light of the financial crisis and the fundamentals were the same. “We like companies with a durable, competitive advantage,” he said.
We are happy to share with you two exclusive videos of Warren Buffett and Professor Bruce Greenwald discussing the relevance of value investing. We hope you enjoy them.
