Hosted by Prof. Jacob Goldenberg
Visiting Faculty, Marketing and Innovation

Join the co-author of the book Think Inside the Box, Jacob Goldenberg, for a complimentary webinar that will show you how thinking outside the box may actually be counterproductive.

Inside the Box Creativity

Countless books promise to explain how to make creative thinking part of a company's culture. Nearly all argue that you need to "think outside the box" to be innovative. Most view creativity as an unstructured process, not following rules or patterns.

Example: How many times have you been in a brainstorming session, encouraged to "go wild" making analogies to things that have nothing to do with your products, services, or processes? You're told that straying as far afield as possible will help you to come up with a breakthrough idea.

This webinar will show you how the opposite approach can be much more effective. Better, quicker innovation happens when you work inside your familiar world – inside the box. This talk relies on pioneering academic research into the creative process, which has established that inventive solutions have an underlying logic that can be defined and learned.
