About

Launched in 2010 under the leadership of founding director Laurie Hodrick, the A. Barton Hepburn Professor of Economics in the Faculty of Business, the Program for Financial Studies supports initiatives in the field of financial studies at Columbia Business School.

Program synergies derive from connecting the School’s faculty members, who approach financial studies from a variety of disciplines, with Columbia Business School’s students, alumni, and external constituencies.

Leadership

Guided by a dedicated faculty core — founding director and chair of the advisory board Laurie Hodrick, research director Paul Glasserman, and curriculum director Charles Calomiris — the Program for Financial Studies also benefits from broader faculty participation on the Academic Advisory Board and a committed Executive Advisory Board drawn from engaged leaders in the financial community. Together, these partners ensure that the program delivers seminal research, the most relevant curriculum, and engaging events.
