Susan Fiske, the Eugene Higgins Professor of Psychology at Princeton University, delivered her keynote presentation on "Universal Dimensions of Social Cognition: Warmth and Competence."
Susan Fiske discussed her research on stereotypes that people place on different genders as well as social and economic roles.
David Amodio, assistant professor of psychology at New York University presented his research on "A Social Neuroscience Approach to the Regulation of Intergroup Bias."
Valerie Purdie-Vaughns, assistant Professor of Psychology at Columbia University, responded to a question during the research panel on stereotypes. Prior to the panel discussion, Professor Purdie-Vaughns presented her research on "Combating stereotypes: Improving Minority Intellectual Performance with a Values-Affirmation Intervention."
Lasana Harris, assistant professor of psychology at Duke University, participated in the discussion during the research panel on stereotypes. Before the discussion, he delivered his presentation on "The Neural Correlates of Moral Decision Making about Social Groups."
