Alumni Connect at Corporate Gatherings

This winter, three corporate gatherings were held, enabling Columbia Business School alumni to connect, hear from special guests, and talk with leaders from the School.

On February 3, more than 100 alumni from Goldman Sachs gathered with CEO Lloyd Blankfein and Dean Glenn Hubbard at the investment giant’s New York City headquarters, at an event hosted by Jeffrey Goldenberg ’81. “We appreciate the opportunity to bring together employees, alumni, and the School’s leadership to promote professional development,” said Blankfein.

Also, on January 29, Hubbard spoke with alumni at Evercore, the independent investment banking advisory firm, at an event hosted by Saul Goodman ’84; and, on February 20, Professor Sheena Iyengar gave a presentation to graduates at Deloitte, a firm that services clients in a variety of areas, including risk management and financial advisory. Scott Baret ’01 (EMBA) hosted the Deloitte event. Alumni at the gatherings were reminded about the importance of participation in the Business Fund to support the School’s activities.

“Alumni programs provide unique opportunities for alumni to celebrate the strength of the Columbia community within their firms,” said Hubbard, “and to create or renew important ties with the School.”
