The School is launching an innovative program on social intelligence that will enhance students' abilities to lead individuals, teams, organizations and networks effectively throughout their careers.

The Program on Social Intelligence (PSI) is grounded in a proven combination of empirical assessment, experiential learning and executive coaching and will be woven throughout the entire MBA experience, from extracurricular activities and core courses to new student orientation and reunion events. This integrative program provides students with insights about human behavior from cutting-edge research so they can better understand, influence and empower people at work.

Four streams of PSI activities focus on applications of social intelligence: navigating careers, leading teams, managing organizations and advanced leadership. These streams are complemented by PSI-enhanced core management courses such as Creating Effective Organizations and Leadership. Students will benefit from the talent present in New York, with leaders of business and civic organizations, business journalists and authors, executive coaches and stage performers all contributing to the program's success.

Faculty experts in psychology, motivation, decision making, teamwork and social networks developed PSI, which is led by Professor Michael Morris of the Management Division.
