Olivier Toubia, the David W. Zalaznick Associate Professor of Business, was awarded the 2006 John D. C. Little Award by the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS). The award is given annually to the best marketing paper published in Marketing Science or Management Science. Toubia also received the award in 2003.
The paper recognized for the award is entitled “Idea Generation, Creativity and Incentives.” In his research, Toubia focuses on various aspects of innovation and new product development, including idea generation, idea screening, preference measurement and the diffusion of innovation. Established in 1995 after the merger of the Operations Research Society of America and the Institute of Management Sciences, INFORMS is the largest professional society in the world for the field of operations research.
