A July 18 BusinessWeek online feature and slideshow follows Shruti Joshi ’09, a student in the School’s EMBA-Global Program, as she attends a speed-networking event on the Columbia campus. Designed by Tom Jaffee ’89, founder of the speed-dating network, the annual event brings together students from the EMBA-Global Program and the Berkeley-Columbia EMBA Program. Participants were asked to meet eight new people for six minutes each (with one 15-minute break). The feature also includes practical networking tips from Michael Morris, the Chavkin-Chang Professor of Leadership and director of the School’s Program on Social Intelligence.
