Copresident, Goldman Sachs Singapore, Head of Investment Banking Services in Asia Ex-Japan and Head of Investment Banking Southeast Asia

Before being named copresident of Goldman Sachs Singapore, Tim Leissner was head of the firm’s investment banking in Singapore. He joined Goldman Sachs in 1998 as an executive director in mergers and acquisitions and became chief of staff for Asia Ex-Japan in 2001. Mr. Leissner was named managing director in 2002 and partner in 2006.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Leissner worked as an associate and vice president in mergers and acquisitions for JP Morgan and as head of mergers and acquisitions, Asia Pacific, for Lehman Brothers. He is a director of Goldman Sachs (Mauritius), LLC, and serves as Goldman Sachs’s chief representative in Thailand. Mr. Leissner is also cofounder of the People‚Äôs Wish Foundation, a charitable organization in China.

He earned a BA from Siegen University in 1991, an MBA from the University of Hartford in 1992 and a PhD in business administration from the University of Somerset.
