The Eugene Lang Entrepreneurship Center
The Eugene Lang Entrepreneurship Center plays a crucial role at the School, instilling an entrepreneurial energy into everything we do. Through its many unique offerings, the Lang Center trains our students, alumni, and even neighboring local business owners to capture opportunities and realize their entrepreneurial visions.
Among the Center's many offerings, the Entrepreneurial Sounding Board and the Entrepreneur in Residence programs connects students with faculty members and practitioners to iron out their business ideas, confidentially and one-on-one. In the Entrepreneurial Greenhouse, a hands-on master class, students develop their proposals and even have the opportunity to present them to professional investors. And through Innovation and Entrepreneurship @ Columbia, the Lang Center brings together students, faculty members, and staff members from across the University with great ideas to learn the process of starting a business.
Shark Tank Competition
The annual Columbia Shark Tank Competition is a student initiative managed and run by the Columbia Entrepreneurs Organization (CEO). The competition encourages Columbia Business School students to explore creative entrepreneurial ideas while learning firsthand what goes into the development and presentation of a solid business proposal.
