Designed for high-achieving executives interested in earning a world-class MBA without leaving their jobs, the Columbia Business School Executive MBA Program, through its cutting-edge curriculum, flexible design, and incomparable network, imparts the skills and mindset that create lifelong opportunities and enable success in any field.
To better accommodate the needs of busy professionals, Columbia’s Executive MBA Program offers three New York-based programs for completing this rigorous program: EMBA-New York Friday/Saturday, EMBA-New York Saturday, and EMBA-Americas. Also, through partnerships with London Business School and the University of Hong Kong, students have the opportunity to pursue Columbia Business School’s world-class MBA on three continents.
Students from all the School’s EMBA offerings come together at points during the program, capitalizing on the global connections and perspectives that arise from a diverse array of faculty members and students.
EMBA-NY Friday/Saturday Option
The Friday/Saturday option begins in late August. Classes run from 8:30 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. approximately every other Friday and Saturday. Two residency weeks are required, as is employer sponsorship of time. Employer financial sponsorship is not required, though it is welcome. Learn more about the Friday/Saturday option.
EMBA-NY Saturday Option
With a start date in May, the Saturday option meets from 8:30 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. weekly on Saturdays. Three residency weekends are required in the first year. Designed for executives living throughout the United States, Canada, and Latin America, Columbia EMBA-Americas is the newest addition to Columbia Business School’s Executive MBA Program. EMBA-Americas runs for five terms over 20 months and meets approximately once a month, in a weeklong format, primarily in New York City. During the first year, students will also have weeklong meetings in Silicon Valley, Toronto, and Mexico City. Learn more about EMBA-Americas.
Upon completion of the core curriculum, all Columbia EMBA students embark upon the electives portion of the program. Over the last three terms, students choose from a vast array of elective offerings.
In addition to electives offered on the respective regularly scheduled class weekends, students also take international seminars and weeklong global elective. Additionally, EMBA students have the option of enrolling in electives offered by the Full-Time MBA Program, as well as at other graduate schools at the University.
