The network of Columbia Business School real estate graduates is exceptionally strong and growing. Each year, hundreds of alumni reconnect with former classmates and meet new friends and business colleagues at the Annual Real Estate Alumni Reception, the largest real estate alumni activity at the School.
2016 Annual Real Estate Alumni Reception
The 2016 Real Estate Alumni Reception will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the Columbia Club of New York, and will be a celebration of Professor Lynne B. Sagalyn, as we honor her, and thank her for her vision, dedication, and leadership. This annual reception is hosted by the Paul Milstein Center for Real Estate and Real Estate Circle and sponsored by Goodwin Procter LLP. An After-Party will be hosted by the Columbia Business School Real Estate Association.
2015 Annual Real Estate Alumni Reception
The 2015 Real Estate Alumni Reception was held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at the Columbia Club of New York, and honored Jon Gray as the Distinguished Real Estate Partner. Mr. Gray is the Global Head of Real Estate at Blackstone. This annual reception was presented by the Paul Milstein Center for Real Estate and Real Estate Circle and sponsored by Goodwin Procter LLP. An After-Party at Cellar Bar at the Bryant Park Hotel was hosted by the Columbia Business School Real Estate Association.
Because of our strong network of active alumni, this year’s attendance covered a span of 57 graduation years! 2014 Annual Real Estate Alumni Reception
The reception took place on Thursday, May 8, 2014, and honored Hugh R. Frater ’85 as the Distinguished Real Estate Partner. Mr. Frater is CEO of Berkadia Commercial Mortgage, a highly rated master and primary servicer and a top-tier commercial real estate loan originator and investment sales advisor. Berkadia has over 1400 employees in over 60 offices servicing over $230 billion in commercial mortgage loans and financing or selling over $14 billion in property annually.

Over 200 real estate alumni reconnected at the Columbia Club on May 8, 2014. After the reception, the Real Estate Association hosted an After-Party at Cellar Bar at the Bryant Park Hotel.
