Class Notes

Janera Soerel (janera@one-shift.com)
An entrepreneur at heart, Soerel recently launched www.one-shift.com, a company that empowers people to take back their health. Until recently, Soerel was program director at the Urban Zen Foundation, created by fashion designer Donna Karan. There she learned the latest and most effective healing therapies. Soerel's background is in investment banking and her Oneshift business partner is a former executive producer in advertising. Together they design company specific corporate programs and offer integrative stress-reduction and resilience enhancing trainings and treatments. Soerel believes that most diseases are preventable and that, if taken care of properly, the body can heal itself. Through Oneshift she provides the tools and treatments that show clients which small daily shifts in their behavior will have a sustainable positive impact on their health and wellness. Soerel is based in New York.

Junheng Li (JLi04@gsb.columbia.edu)
Junheng Li writes: I launched an independent equity research firm called JL Warren Capital (www.jlwarrencapital.com) focusing on China-based and US-listed companies. In addition to finishing up my upcoming memoir Dragon Daughter, An Inspirational Immigrant Tale and an American Dream (www.tigressonwallst.blogspot.com), I am writing op-ed articles on China and financial markets regularly for Bloomberg and Forbes. I was recently interviewed by the Wall Street Journal on the bubble-bust cycle of Chinese stocks. I also just finished a Bravo show featuring a heated discussion on the pros and cons of Tiger parenting.

Justin Kennedy
Justin Kennedy writes: "My wife Angie and I just moved back to New York City from Utah. We are excited to be back and look forward to seeing everyone soon."
