Jim Rough (

Jim Rough writes: “After Columbia, I worked for Xerox, Boeing, and Simpson Timber. From that work and studies in Jungian Psychology I became especially interested in how people make wise collective decisions. From this interest, I originated a unique approach to facilitating and have been teaching seminars on ␄Dynamic Facilitation” for over twenty years. ( Dynamic Facilitation opens new doors of possibility for large systems of people from organizations, cities, to society as a whole. I’ve been deeply involved in experiments with these new approaches in public settings. I wrote a book, for instance, on how to evoke a national, thoughtful, inclusive, trans-partisan approach: We the People. My book, Society's Breakthrough! Releasing Essential Wisdom and Virtue in All the People ( has led to the founding of the nonprofit Center for Wise Democracy (, which supports experiments with these social innovations. It's been an exciting path. I hope those who read this will check out these exciting claims ... and become involved.”

John Salzer (

John (Jack) Salzer founded Sealake Products, LLC, a publisher of specialty nautical charts, in 1990. His products are carried by coastal stores from South Carolina to New Jersey and include fishing and shipwreck charts, a satellite image print and a shark attack print. Jack is pleased that the profit from sales of Sealake charts help support a number of historic sites.
