What is the dress code for this event?
The Annual Dinner is a “business/cocktail attire” event. A business suit for gentlemen and a suit or cocktail dress for ladies is appropriate.
Can I attend the Annual Dinner alone?
Yes! Many people attend the Annual Dinner as single ticket holders and report having a wonderful time networking, meeting new people, and reconnecting with former classmates. We make every effort to organize festive tables and to seat guests together based on class year and, if possible, interests.
What do the ticket and table proceeds support?
The Annual Dinner is a celebrated fundraising tradition, raising crucial support for the School. Proceeds from the Annual Dinner typically provide crucial financial support for many of the dean’s priorities, including student financial aid, faculty research, and curriculum development. This year, the focus will be on student financial aid.
Why is the Annual Dinner being held at the American Museum of Natural History this year?
Following the great success of the 42nd Annual Dinner in 2018, the event will return to the American Museum of Natural History for a third year in 2019. The Annual Dinner’s traditional venue, the Waldorf Astoria, is currently unavailable due to multiyear renovations.
Which entrance to the museum do I use?
Please use the museum’s main entrance at 79th Street and Central Park West. The landmark Equestrian Statue of Theodore Roosevelt is in front of this entrance. Once inside, our registration team will welcome you.
Where is the wheelchair-accessible entrance?
The wheelchair-accessible entrance to the museum, known as the “carriage entrance,” is also accessible from Central Park West at West 79th Street. Proceed down the circular driveway, underneath the stairs, that begins on the north side of the main entrance stairs. This driveway leads to the carriage entrance. Staff will be positioned there to direct guests to the elevators, which lead to the main registration area.
Where can guests for this event park?
The museum’s parking garage is located on West 81st Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West. It will be open during the Annual Dinner.
