In 2012, the Swiss headquartered private equity firm Partners Group was considering an investment in Dynacast, a small, but global, company that manufactured high quality metal components. This case, and an accompanying video interview with one of PG’s managers, describes the Dynacast’s strengths and challenges and how PG approached the due diligence process before acquiring a controlling stake in the company.
