This two-party negotiation involves medical students operating under a new “buddy system” who must compromise on their differing individual goals and negotiate as a team in order to optimize their rotation assignments for their Internal Medicine Clerkships. Students are required to use a “point system” in order to assess whether their negotiation has been successful.
