Biography
Jay Corcoran is the Associate Director, Career Management Lubrary and New Media Center in the Career Management Center. Jay interviews students, alumni, and global business leaders on how they succeed, learn from their mistakes, and all things career related. He edits the 30-minute video interview into short career education video content for the website and other platforms. Prior to joining the Business School in June 2005, Jay was a documentary film Director and Producer on films like "Life and Death on the A-List," "Undetectable," and "Rock Bottom." He has worked with PBS, Independent Lens, CBC, NHK, Theatrical: Quad Cinema, Lincoln Center, Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and many more venues and film festivals worldwide. He has also made a short film on literacy in Afghanistan for the Afghan Center at Kabul University. Jay holds a B.A. in Managerial Relations from Catholic University and an M.S. from the Columbia School of Journalism. Jay is from Boston and Wellesley, Massachusetts. He teaches filmmaking and storytelling to at-risk youth in Brownsville, Brooklyn and to kids with learning disabilities at the Gateway school.
