Joshua Safier is the Managing Director, Global Programs and Initiatives in the Jerome Chazen Institute for Global Business. Joshua oversees a wide array of curricular, extra-curricular, research, and industry outreach programs and initiatives. He is responsible for strategic planning, innovative program design and development, capacity building, project management, and operations. He also works closely with key stakeholders across the Business School and University to further university-wide efforts globally. Prior to joining the Business School in 1998, Joshua was a Program Manager at the Council on International Educational Exchange. He holds a B.A. in East Asian Studies from Oberlin College, an M.A. in East Asian Languages and Cultures with a focus on Contemporary Japanese History from the University of Kansas, and is pursuing an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from Teachers College. Joshua was born in Berne, Switzerland. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York and has traveled to more than 30 countries. He once lived and taught English in Japan on the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program.
