Matthew Harty serves as both the Head of Social Enterprise Programs and Deputy Associate Dean in Executive Education. He oversees a portfolio of open enrollment and custom programs for nonprofit organizations, administers applied projects in multiple programs, facilitates sessions on leadership development and serves on the admissions and scholarship committees for both the Senior Leaders and Developing Leaders Programs for Nonprofit Professionals. Matthew also develops and manages relationships with multiple foundations interested in supporting their grantees' enrollments. Prior to joining the Business School in December 2006, Matthew was a teacher, non-profit educator, curriculum designer, and adult learning specialist. Matthew holds a B.A. in History and Secondary Education from American University and an M.A. and Ed.M. in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Teachers College. Matthew is from Long Island. He serves on the board for the Workforce Professionals Training Institute (WPTI), a New York City-based nonprofit organization that develops pathways out of poverty through employment.
