Biography

Maria Topel is an Assistant Director overseeing budget management and student affairs operations. Prior to joining the Student Affairs Office in January 2022, she served as the Program Manager for the Higher and Postsecondary Education Program at Teachers College. She holds an interdisciplinary MA in Cultural and Educational policy studies from Dartmouth. She grew up speaking Tagalog and English and lived for a decade in rural New Hampshire before moving back to NYC where she is originally from.
