Note: Attendance is mandatory on all four class dates: March 23, April 6, April 20, April 27
This course offers students a chance to learn directly from the experience and insights of successful leaders in a range of fields. The class will consist of site visits. With each leader, we will explore three key themes. First, we will explore their path to leadership: how did they navigate their career to achieve this key leadership position? Second, we will examine their current leadership challenges, while also discussing their past challenges. Third, we will discuss how each leader has managed to navigate the inherent tension between competition and cooperation: How did they find the right balance between these forces? Finally, we will emphasize both leadership successes and failures to appreciate the link between setbacks and moving forward.
