The Columbia Entrepreneurs Organization (CEO) encourages aspiring and current student entrepreneurs to explore and launch new ventures and provides resources and introductions to students interested in working at startups. Through lectures, panel discussions, and interactive workshops, the club helps members gain unique insights and connections to the world of venturing. The annual pitch competition and newly launched hackathon help students start their own businesses by providing expert feedback and start-up capital. CEO also sponsors site visits and career treks to observe current start-ups.
As one of Columbia's largest student societies, we work to inspire, educate, and launch the next generation of student entrepreneurs. Columbia Organization of Rising Entrepreneurs (CORE) aims to promote entrepreneurship at Columbia and help put New York City on the map as a hub for innovation and startup companies. CORE hosts a series of panels, discussions, seminars, and workshops to allow students from all backgrounds to learn and understand how to start their own company, the challenges they face, and what opportunities and resources are available.
The CETA Club aims to educate the CBS community about the Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition career path. The club provides resources and workshops about the search fund model, hosts investor presentations and panels with current Searchers and CEOs, and offers networking opportunities with fellow CBS students interested in entrepreneurship through acquiring an owner-operated business.
Columbia Venture Community (CVC) is a private community for Columbia students, alumni and employees interested in all aspects entrepreneurship. The group welcomes members from any school, sector or industry function (e.g. entrepreneur, VC, lawyer).
The Family Business Club advances family business interests of students, faculty members, and affiliated individuals of Columbia Business School. The club regularly invites local family business owners for special events, organizes site visits to family-owned companies, and provides growth and development opportunities for students who will be returning to a family business post-MBA.
The Private Equity Club provides opportunities for members to learn about the private equity, enhance career goals, and network with industry leaders.
The Social Enterprise Club is the home for all students at Columbia Business School who want to use business skills to create social, environmental and economic value within the private, public and nonprofit sectors. Through diverse events and numerous resources, we connect students interested in social enterprise with each other, faculty, alumni, professionals and organizations; enrich our members; understanding of industries, ideas and initiatives that create social impact; and inspire students to become leaders who improve the world.
TBG’s mission is to create the next generation of technology business leaders from Columbia Business School through three key pillars.

Connect. Connect with technology companies’ big and small, east coast to west coast. Connect with CBS alumni at technology companies. Connect with your fellow classmates to discuss the latest technology news.
Develop. Develop your career search, networking, and interviewing skills through a combination of workshops and personalized mentorship.
The Venture Capital Club support students exploring careers in venture capital, potential entrepreneurs who want to raise VC money, and those interested in working with VC portfolio startups.
