Think Bigger is a new method of innovation that is unique to Columbia. It is based on the latest research in cognitive psychology, especially the neuroscience of learning-and-memory, for which Columbia’s own Eric Kandel won the Nobel Prize in the year 2000. Other methods of innovation depend on a previous, obsolete model of the brain. In this way, Think Bigger is the first major innovation in innovation methods in more than 40 years.
We teach Think Bigger in workshop form to graduate students across the University in Business School courses, and to other interested University members on request, including alumni. The workshops draw on expert mentors from the wider University and the New York professional world.
We offer shorter versions and on-going advisory support to executives and other practitioners who want to learn and use the method for the real innovation problems they face.
