"In my professional career as well as in my personal life I came across a dilemma. How I perceived myself was not the same my co-workers, peers, and managers perceived me. In order to improve, I needed a fair assessment of myself from an outside eye. I came across the Emerging Leader Development Program at Columbia Business School and read about its 360 feedback that is combined with one-on-one consultation and group discussion. It provided me with an opportunity to discover my weaknesses so I could turn them into my strengths. After the program, I moved away from how I perceived myself to how I wanted to be perceived. I gained insight into my strengths and weaknesses, which allowed me to become more effective in dealings with my superiors, peers, friends, and family."
