In these three examples of recent partnerships, learn about the business challenges our partners were facing and discover how together we developed customized solutions for their organizational development needs.
With ten hospitals, 47,000 employees, and 7,700 affiliated physicians, the New York City–based NewYork-Presbyterian is one of the largest teaching healthcare systems in the United States. In 2017, NewYork-Presbyterian partnered with Columbia Business School Executive Education to launch a highly selective professional development program for its physician leaders. At the heart of the Leadership Education and Development for Physicians (LEAD) program is an MBA-inspired curriculum consisting of four one-week modules covering leadership, strategy, negotiation and persuasion, and accounting and finance. In this case study, learn how this unique partnership develops physicians for leadership roles across NewYork-Presbyterian’s healthcare system.
While Columbia Business School’s Advanced Management Program—a four-week program designed for global senior executives—may be located 9,000 miles from Powerco’s New Plymouth, New Zealand headquarters, there are a number of reasons why the utility company decided to put it at the center of its leadership development and succession planning efforts.
