Program Overview

With $3 billion raised by digital health companies in the first three months of 2020, digital health is gaining momentum to reshape healthcare. This program will provide a deep dive into the fundamentals and emerging opportunities in digital health, with a focus on driving racial equity. Leaders build on their existing business knowledge and learn how to apply that knowledge to the digital health investment market.

Damon Phillips
Lambert Family Professor of Social Enterprise
Columbia Business School

Damon Phillips is the Lambert Family Professor of Social Enterprise at Columbia Business School. His expertise lies in the areas of social structural approaches to labor and product markets, entrepreneurship, innovation, organizational strategy and structure, as well as social network theory and analysis. His industry specialties are markets for professional services (law, consulting, investment banking) and culture (music industry). Before joining Columbia in 2011, he was on the faculty of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (from 1998-2011).
 

Stan Kachnowski
Chair
HITLAB

Stan Kachnowski is the Chair of the digital health organization HITLAB. He is an Oxford trained researcher who has taught over 5,000 students from Columbia University, IIT-Delhi, and Quinnipiac College. His teaching and research over the past 25 years include educating graduate-level and executive students on four continents and conducting extensive studies on the efficacy and diffusion of digital health, including electronic data capture, ePRO, wearables, and predictive algorithms.
