Professor Daniel Guetta, together with co-authors Maxime Cohen (NYU) and Wenqiang Xiao (NYU), won the 2018 INFORMS Case Competition for a case study titled Supply Chain Coordination and Contracts in the Sharing Economy - a Case Study at Cargo. The case study was written in collaboration with Cargo, an innovative startup that allows rideshare drivers to provide their riders with products on-the-go. The case study is available at Columbia Caseworks and is now being taught in courses at the undergraduate, engineering MS, and MBA level at Columbia and NYU.
This case study is part of a series of data-driven case studies Professor Guetta is authoring to introduce students to modern techniques and topics in Business Analytics. The latest case study in the series centers around text mining at Evisort, and is also available at Columbia Caseworks. The class in which the case study is taught is a follow up to Columbia Business School's trailblazing Business Analytics core class and was recently featured on Legaltech news and in the Associated Press.
