HENRY S. MILLER '70
Henry S. Miller is Chairman of Marblegate Asset Management since its formation in 2009.
Henry S. Miller is a 1970 graduate of Columbia Business School and a member of the School’s Board of Overseers. Over the course of his career, Mr. Miller has represented debtors, creditors, and other constituents in numerous out-of-court and Chapter 11 matters. These have included extremely complex reorganizations where the services provided involved raising “rescue” financing, strategic assignments, and divestiture of substantial assets or businesses of the affected enterprises.
During his career, Mr. Miller has been a partner at Lehman Brothers, heading the Private Finance group in Corporate Finance; has served as the chief financial officer of Eichner Properties, Inc.; and has co-headed investment banking and headed the financial restructuring group at Prudential Securities. Mr. Miller then headed both the restructuring and transportation industry groups of Salomon Brothers, then served as vice chairman and the global head of the firm's financial restructuring group at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein. Mr. Miller co-founded Miller Buckfire Company in 2002, where he was CEO until 2009 and chairman and a managing director until his retirement in 2011. He has served as chairman of Marblegate Asset Management since its formation in 2009.
Mr. Miller is a trustee of Save the Children, the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, and his undergraduate institution Fordham University, as well as a member of the board of directors of AIG and Ally Financial.
