CCO Council
About the CCO Council
Launched in 2017, the Chief Communications Officer (CCO) Council is the first peer-to-peer network created for, and with, heads of communication, bringing together a diverse group of senior executives from top companies, major government agencies, and leading non-profits. Created through a partnership with Palisades Media Ventures and Columbia Business School’s Center on Global Brand Leadership, the Council offers a unique discussion and collaboration forum. The Council’s mission is to advance the work of CCOs by implementing a core learning experience focused on small group scenario work, peer-to-peer learning, and exposing CCOs to the best research scholars and latest information.
CCO Council members will take part in biannual, daylong Summit events to be facilitated by Columbia Business School faculty, leading practitioners, and other domain experts and thought leaders. These summits will focus on a wide range of topics—from navigating an evolving social media landscape, to new tools to uncover customer insights, to preparing for the impact of AI and robotics on communications. The Summits will feature workshops, case studies and small group discussions—all in an intimate, collaborative environment surrounded by peers.
Members of the CCO Council include senior executives from leading organizations such as Bloomberg, Coursera, The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Domino’s, General Mills, Paramount Pictures, Samsung, and more.
