Current Work:
National Healthcare Advisory Leader

Describe what you do.

Lead BDO’s Healthcare Advisory practice and the BDO Center for Healthcare Excellence & Innovation. We help healthcare, pharma/ life science, biotech, investors, lenders and payer organizations thrive in this era of daunting challenge and boundless opportunity.

How did you become interested in Healthcare? What drew you in?

Healthcare presents multiple challenges and opportunities for improvement that requires multidisciplinary approaches to address the complexity of interconnected issues – policy, payment, value, epidemiology and demographics. I approach the industry with the understanding that limitations of current modalities have produced value and policy misalignment which have further created budget distortions for governments and hence, opportunity. The acceleration and convergence of innovation, payment reform and policy creates an urgency for change, creativity thinking, specialization and collaboration.

What do you enjoy most about your career or positon?

Creating with integrity something new or much better from where there was nothing or something very broken and doing this with smart, diverse colleagues and clients who challenge me.

How has your CBS experience influenced your career?

CBS honed my critical thinking.

What is your favorite CBS memory, such as a favorite professor, spot on campus, or social event?

Dr. Suresh M. Sundaresan had a profound effect on me as his Options Theory course help me organize my decision making process into a more coherent strategic thinking structure.

As a leader in healthcare, what qualities do you look for when hiring new MBA graduates?

Integrity, openness to learning new ways of thinking, a sense of humor, strong work ethic and intelligence.
