Updates to CBS Account Access

As part of efforts to simplify the login process, Columbia Business School is launching a “one username, one password” initiative. Your UNI will be your username, and once you change your University password, it automatically becomes your CBS password. You will no longer need to enter multiple passwords as you use different applications across CBS and University platforms.

Executive Summary for CBS Alumni

Here are the five key things you need to know:

  1. Previously your username to access Business School resources (i.e. Community) was your LifetimeID (e.g. JSmith20). Now, your UNI (e.g. js1234) is your username.
  2. If you have not done so since December 2018, you will need to change your password here.
  3. Your CBS email forwarding address remains unchanged as lifetimeID@gsb.columbia.edu (e.g. JSmith20@gsb.columbia.edu).
  4. Your UNI is the same username you use to access University alumni resources; you can look up your UNI.
