All Business School huddle rooms are equipped with the following technology. See the Rooms Types section below for additional technology installed into specific huddle rooms.

The Business School contains multiple huddle rooms types, all of which are designed to facilitate in-person meetings, breakout sessions, and collaborative study. They are all equipped with a single wall-mounted display. They are divided into three types, which have different means of connecting to the in-room display.

Meeting Room

These rooms contain standalone meeting room tables equipped with an in-table cable cubby and push-button controls. These rooms are primarily located on faculty floors, and are ideally suited for small in-person meetings. They do not have built-in computers and rely on faculty and staff to bring their own laptop or video-enabled device. Many Meeting Rooms are also equipped with Owl cameras, which help to augment video conferencing functionality for user-provided laptops and tablets. If video conferencing is a primary concern, consider booking a Conference Room.

Study Room

These rooms are small technology-enabled spaces ideal for private study or breakout sessions. They are distributed throughout the Business School campus on almost every floor, usually with glass walls and peninsula-style tables seating four to six individuals. They contain an in-room cable cubby with an HDMI port for laptop connectivity (cable not provided), as well as push-button controls for the in-room display.

Screening Room

These rooms contain a single wall-mounted display, in addition to wall-mounted display controls and a wall-mounted HDMI connection port. These rooms have movable seating and come in a variety of sizes, from student screening rooms to corner lounge spaces. These rooms require a user-provided HDMI cable and laptop / tablet. HDMI cables must be removed after use to avoid any tripping hazards.

You can confirm the type and size of the huddle rooms in the list below. Scheduling can be done through Campus Groups. Please note that not all rooms may be schedulable, depending on scheduling restrictions for certain rooms.

The Multimedia Group is ready to assist with any technology issues that may arise while using a Business School huddle space. But if you wish to prepare or familiarize yourself with the technology, here are some useful tips and tricks to keep in mind.

• These rooms require you to bring your own laptop/tablet and HDMI cable. Do not remove or alter any HDMI cables behind the display, or unplug any cables from power outlets in the room. Doing so may impede the functionality of the in-room AV system.
• Some in-table power outlets for Study Rooms and Meeting Rooms are recessed, and may not readily accept power cables with large or L-shaped outlet connectors. Please remember to bring extension cords or contact the Multimedia group for a loaner surge protector or power adapter.
