The Phillips Pathway for Inclusive Leadership (PPIL) Program

The Phillips Pathway for Inclusive Leadership (PPIL) is the first of its kind. Designed by Mariah Celestine '20 and Camira Livers-Powell '20 in collaboration with the DEI Initiative and The Bernstein Center, the PPIL is a co-curricular program aimed at equipping our students across all academic programs with the essential skills for managing diversity through a combination of assessments, workshops, and programmatic endeavors throughout their educational journey at Columbia Business School. This spring semester, we are launching the pilot phase of the program in which all 1st year students will be required to attend at least one PPIL-approved event and submit a post-event reflection form. Concurrently, we have initiated a PPIL Student Advisory Council comprising of students from across the academic programs who will be helping us assess the impact of the program and address the specific needs of each student population ahead of our full launch in Fall 2021.
