Lisa Hsia ’09 is the SVP of Digital Media at Bravo Media. Lisa recently took time to visit with members of the Media Management Association (MMA) to talk about her career path, her role at Bravo and her EMBA experience.
Lisa started her career on the creative side as a producer for such shows as TODAY and Dateline NBC. She found her way to Bravo’s new media group just as Bravo was beginning to build a strong name for itself. In her current role, Lisa takes the lead on digital initiatives, and she has been doing quite a job! Recent examples of her work include the much talked about Bravo-Foursquare partnership and the weekly “Talk Bubble” on The Real Housewives of New York.
Reflecting on her experience as an EMBA student, Lisa told current MMA students that some of the most valuable lessons were largely unexpected. Most notably, she found she learned a lot from the student body. "Many of my peers were in their 20s and 30s and very tech savvy, exactly the audience I was targeting at Bravo. They served as a focus group and showed me how new media was integrated in their everyday lives" Lisa said.
