Most interesting project/takeaway from the summer?
Though Sony Music is in the business of producing, marketing, and distributing the works of recording artists, I spent much of the summer focused on podcasts. One interesting project was analyzing the global podcast industry, and figuring out which international offices Sony should allocate capital to for investment in original podcast production. A key takeaway: voice your interests and propose projects! Management responds well to initiative, and would rather you work on something you’re passionate about than not (assuming it’s sufficiently impactful).
