The Columbia Institute for Tele-Information (CITI) at Columbia Business School will grow into the newest Sloan Foundation center with the announcement of a $1.2 million grant to expand CITI into a multidisciplinary center dedicated to research in the telecommunications sector. The center will draw from various areas of Columbia University and will be dedicated to research in the telecommunications sector: its networks, competitors, suppliers and customers; its technological and political dynamics; its media content and e-commerce transactions; and its impact on society.
