Miguel Salís ’85
Miguel Salis is the founder and former CEO of Eolia Renovables—the largest independent IPP in the Spanish wind and solar PV industry and one of the largest independent players in Europe—which was acquired by Oaktree in late 2015. Prior to the establishment of Eolia, Mr. Salis was an angel investor and developer of in excess of 150 megawatts of wind and solar PV assets in Spain. Between 1999 and 2003, Mr. Salis co-founded and acted as vice chairman and CFO of Jazztel Plc, one of the largest broadband telecom companies in Spain, recently acquired by Orange. Before that, he worked as an investment banker in London and Madrid for Lehman Brothers and Salomon Brothers.
Miguel Salis holds a higher degree in energy engineering from the Polytechnical University in Madrid and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He is married and has three daughters.
