Philip Hansteen ’17
Philip Hansteen is a principal negotiator and commercial lead in Statoil’s development, production, and International business area. Mr. Hansteen’s main responsibility is following up on commercial matters of existing and new business opportunities in West Africa. Prior to working with West Africa, Mr. Hansteen worked as an advisor in Statoil’s midstream and downstream strategy group from 2015 to 2016. He also served as the chief of staff and management advisor to the executive vice president for marketing, processing, and renewable energy, a position he held between 2013 and 2015. From 2007 to 2012, Philip worked for Statoil North America, where he held various positions in midstream and downstream, including risk control for oil & gas trading, natural gas market analyses, liquid natural gas operations, regulatory affairs, and asset management of storage and pipelines for crude and liquids.
Mr. Hansteen graduated from Babson College in 2006 with a BS in business management and has a duel MBA degree from Columbia Business School and London Business School in 2017.
