The Paul Milstein Center for Real Estate is pleased to highlight and congratulate four women in the MBA Real Estate Program for being selected as 2022 WX Scholars. Congratulations to Erika Jobson ’22, Robin Mesirow ‘22 Rachel Montoya ’22, and Caaminee Pandit Vecchio ’22.
The WX Scholars Program encourages and supports bright and talented young women pursuing careers in real estate and related professions in the New York metropolitan area. Since the program was launched in 2004, scholarships have been awarded to 352 women at 18 schools totaling approximately $1.71 million in full scholarships.
About: WX New York Women Executives in Real Estate empowers women to build successful careers in the real estate industry, supporting them at all stages of their professional development. WX’s mission is to promote the advancement of women in commercial real estate, enhance the public perception of the role of women within the industry and promote the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and integrity in the field. For more than two decades, WX has attracted members who are actively engaged in the commercial real estate industry in New York. At 200 strong, WX’s membership is comprised of executive women from a variety of backgrounds, from owners, developers and brokers to architects, engineers, bankers, and lawyers.
Meet the 2022 WX Scholars from Columbia Business School:
Erika Jobson ’22
Erika Jobson is originally from Shaker Heights, Ohio and is a member of the Columbia Business School Class of 2022. Prior to CBS, she worked in real estate development in Los Angeles for a boutique multifamily developer and owner/operator. In her first year at CBS, she interned at BentallGreenOak and Lazard, and will be going back to Lazard’s real estate investment banking team full-time. Erika graduated from Cornell University in 2016 with a B.A. in Government and French and minor in Real Estate and is a NAREIM Jeff Barclay Fellow.
Robin Mesirow ’22
Robin Mesirow is a member of Columbia Business School's Class of 2022. Robin graduated from the University of Michigan in 2017 with a degree in economics and organizational studies. Prior to CBS, Robin worked as an HR Analyst for Boston Consulting Group in Boston, MA. She came to CBS to change her career path and establish a career in Real Estate. In addition to being on the board of the REA, Robin is on the board of the Columbia Women in Business Club and the Jewish Business Student Association and is a student ambassador for the Hermes Society. Robin worked for PGIM Real Estate during her Spring semester and Blackstone Real Estate over the Summer. After graduation, Robin will be joining PGIM Real Estate’s Global Innovation Team in New York City.
Rachel Morrison Montoya ’22
Rachel Morrison Montoya is a member of Columbia Business School's Executive MBA Class of 2022. Rachel completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan and graduated in 2012. Rachel is currently an Associate Director of Development at Oxford Properties Group, focused on the Hudson Yards project in New York City. She is the Global Lead of Oxford's Inclusion and Diversity Committee and on the Steering Committee of Women at OMERS. Prior to Oxford, Rachel worked in acquisitions and asset management at Time Equities, Inc. After graduating from the EMBA program, Rachel plans to continue working in her role at Oxford in New York City.
Caaminee Pandit Vecchio ’22
Caaminee Pandit Vecchio is an Executive MBA student in the Friday / Saturday Class of 2022. She is a Development Manager at Lendlease, where she is responsible for facilitating the design, equity and debt financing, sales and marketing, delivery, and asset management of new developments in NYC. Her projects at Lendlease include 1 Java, a multifamily project with over 800 units, and Claremont Hall, a mixed-use condominium in Morningside Heights. Ms. Pandit has worked across real estate disciplines including development, private equity, debt, and community development for both institutions and family offices. Ms. Pandit received her A.B. from Princeton University.
